Susan Statham is a visual artist, writer and teacher. A graduate of Algonquin College, and the University of Waterloo, she attended part-time studies at The Ontario College of Art and Design and the National Portrait Academy.
Susan is a graduate of Advanced Fiction Writing at the University of Waterloo and creative writing courses at Loyalist College. She was an editor and contributor for Hill Spirits and Hill Spirits II and her first novel, “The Painter’s Craft” was accepted for publication upon receipt.
Relocating to Northumberland County from Toronto where she was a librarian for High Park Alternative, Susan began exhibiting paintings at a local gallery and received requests to teach. Starting with a small group of students, she now teaches 4 classes a week. Her painting “Dancing Fuchsias” won the People’s Choice award in 2013.
